Psych is a popular TV show whose man character is Shawn Spencer, a man with exceptional observational skills who helps the police solve difficult cases. Due to his unique set of skills the police force think that Shawn is a psychic, which Shawn keeps up as a façade so that he can continue working with the police.
Curt Smith Psych:
You may know Curt Smith as the lead singer of the iconic band Tears For Fears. While Smith never pursued an acting career, he did play a fictionalized version of himself on the show Psych. If you’re not sure if you’re familiar with Tears For Fears, one of their most well known tracks is Everybody Wants to Rule The World. In total, Curt Smith appeared on 3 seasons of Psych. You may also be interested to learn that Smith also performed Psych’s theme track.

In an interview Smith revealed that the reason that he wanted to star on Psych is that he loves the producers and screen writers of Psych and the atmosphere on the set of Psych as well as all of his co-stars.
Carry Elwes:
Carry Elwes who is best known for starring in The Princess Bride, appears in Psych as Pierre a notorious art thief who happens to be Detective Carlton’s nemesis. While Pierre is an over the top art thief, he actually becomes friends with both Gus and Shawn. In fact, Pierre appears on many episodes of Psych and always helps out Gus and Shawn solve crimes when he can. One of the fun parts about Pierre’s appearances is that each time he turns up on screen, viewers get to learn a little more about his mysterious past.
Tim Curry:
Another notable guest star is Tim Curry who you may know from The Rocky Horror Show or Clue. In Psych, Curry plays the iconic character of Nigel St. Nigel, who was inspired by Simon Cowell on the long running show American Idol. During the episode American Duos, Shawn and Gus go undercover on a singing show for duos, named American Duos. On the reality show, the main judge who behaves exactly like Simon Cowell is played by none other than Curry. To date, many fans of Psych credit American Duos as their all time favorite episode.
Jeffrey Tambor:
Another famous actor who chose to appear on an episode of Psych is Jeffrey Tambor who played the character Llyod. Tambor’s character is fascinating as though he pretends to be a mild mannered accountant but is secretly addicted to gambling and is constantly trying to hide the fact that he’s an associate of drug dealers in Mexico. If you want to watch Tambor’s hilarious performance make sure to watch the Psych episode No Country For Two Old Men.
So regardless of whether you’ve already watched every episode of Psych or not, it’s well worth watching all of the funny episodes listed above as they feature unmissable celebrity cameos. Most of which are hilarious.
