Jessica Simpson: A Public Affair
THE STAR SCOOP's REVIEW:
Jessica Simpson's "A Public Affair" is a feel good record, and even some of the slower songs are danceable. However, the album fails to produce any songs that show off her superb vocal ability, like previous hits "I Wanna Love You Forever." and "Take My Breath Away." New songs "Back To You" and "Fired Up" are the closest Jessica comes to her classic crooning, and her rendition of "You Spin Me Round" is a superb new twist on an old favorite. A go-to album for a girlie get-together, it's fun, and tries to incorporate the current pop music style while throwing in a little country flair. "You Spin Me Round" is so well done; it had to be mentioned twice in one review! This song definitely makes the album worth it.
FAVORITES:
"A Public Affair" "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record), "Let Him Fly"
VERDICT:
Sounds like Jessica's voice had an affair with another pop star. Good album, but we miss her vocals!
