Tell us about your music and your sound.
Jaicko:
Well, my sound, I call it a Caribbean fused pop. Taking from the Caribbean what is mine, bringing it to America, and being able to make great fusion with music. A lot of my melodies are all Caribbean infused and Caribbean influenced.
The Star Scoop:
Who are your musical influences?
Jaicko:
Growing up, I listened to a lot of different types of music. Being from there [the Caribbean] helps. You can tell Akon is from Africa the way he sings, kind of way he uses melodies. It's more of a cultural influence.
The Star Scoop:
What messages do you want to bring to your fans in your music?
Jaicko:
Just really fun, motivating records. My songs, all of my music are good representations of myself. They speak for me. Whatever I feel like, I put it in my music, so I'm a very uplifting person. They can get from my music a lot of motivation.
The Star Scoop:
What songs should people check out from your album that you'd hate for them to miss?
Jaicko:
There's a song on my album called "Can I?" I actually decided to name the album after this song. It spoke for me and my journey. From nine years old and being 18 now and in the music industry, how I motivated myself through my music, through other people. I think that song is definitely a song you wouldn't want to miss on my album. Track 9.

When can fans get your album?
Jaicko:
The album will be out in December, but the first single is out. It's called "Oh Yeah."

What are your hopes for when the album comes out? What do you want for 2010
Jaicko:
Being one of the most relevant artists, hopefully. I'm working very hard towards that. The album comes out in December and I'm hoping that people will be able to relate to it. I'm looking to sell a lot of records!

What do you want to say to your current and future fans?
Jaicko:
Just hear me out, yo! Just stay on me. I've got a lot of great music for you, a lot of great stuff in store for you guys. Just keep listening. I won't disappoint you.
