TheStarScoop.Com got the scoop from Emerson Brooks about his role in Terminator, summer's big blockbuster hit.

Tell us what you're working on right now.
Emerson Brooks:
Well, right now I've got a couple movies...Terminator 4. That was really fun, exciting. I have another movie coming out, heard it was called Bruno. That's about all I can say about that or I'd probably end up in a shallow grave in a desert somewhere.
The Star Scoop:
With Terminator, that's a big deal. Like you said it's the fourth one. Why will people go see it?
Emerson Brooks:
If I was going to go see it, which I have seen it, I'd be looking for that quintessential summer movie. I want to see action, explosions. I want to see where every dollar of that 200 million bucks went. Being it's the fourth one, you have a lot of fans of the mythology. If people want to have an awesome time with their friends, this is the movie to go to.
The Star Scoop:
Hollywood has been reaching back a lot and drawing on films with these legacies. Is it a lack of creativity or an effort to reach a wider audience? What are your thoughts?
Emerson Brooks:
To be perfectly audience what I think is behind it is there's already an established fan base and it's good business. If someone's already bought X, Y, Z amount of a certain product, why not re-launch the product? It's less risk involved. I think that's what it comes down to. There's lots of creative people here. There's lots of great ideas on the table. It's just every time you make a film or make a new TV show that's completely original, you're taking a tremendous amount of risk.
The Star Scoop:
For younger fans, how would you describe Terminator? How would you give them what they need to enjoy the fourth movie?
Emerson Brooks:
I think in any situation where you have a sequel or something like that, one of the pillars of a good sequel is that someone can come in having not seen the first or the most recent iteration of that particular series or whatever and be able to follow it and enjoy it. That's what Terminator 4 does. None of the original people are in this. You kind of have to reinvent the wheel every time.

Who do you play in the movie?
Emerson Brooks:
I play one of John Connor's soldiers. I'm a member of resistance. We're fighting machines. Don't want to say too much. The movie is in the future. It is after the apocalypse. The machines have taken over and now it's time to fight them.

What can you say about Bruno?
Emerson Brooks:
In a word, Borat. Borat was such a success. Everybody figured out that Sacha Baron Cohen is brilliant, fearless and absolutely hilarious, so they essentially want to see what he does next.

Emerson Brooks:
It's going to be a wild ride. Wait and see.
