Carmen Reece
TheStarScoop.Com talked "right here" with Carmen Reece about her hit song, "Right Here."
The Star Scoop:
Tell us how you'd describe your musical style?
Carmen Reece:
I would say that it's very, very song based. Some rock music. I always like to make it so that whether it's a dance song or it's if it's a club track, up tempo, ballads, I can always strip it down to piano and the song will hold its own or come out very strong. It's pop, a pop album. There's R&B, dance influences. There's always going to be a strong message.
The Star Scoop:
One of these up tempo song is your single "Right Here." What should people know about this song?
Carmen Reece:
It's very uplifting. When we wrote it, we actually wrote it in London and straight away, within kind of the first ten minutes of getting the hook, we were like, yes, this is the one! The story behind it is quite special for me. There's kind of two meanings for it. The first one is you're in a relationship and sometimes one person's going to come out slightly stronger than the other. And I'm basically saying I'm going to be around right here, right here. I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to be focused. I'm fine, too, you know. Also, the second meanings is, I'm going to be around right here. I'm not going anywhere if you'll have me.
The Star Scoop:
What do you want people to take away from listening to your album?
Carmen Reece:
The album is called "Love in Stereo" and I think it's really relevant. It's like it's hanging from all angles. It's not just coming in one way, it's all around We cover a lot of things. It's an emotional album. There's strong messages in it, so I hope to make people smile, laugh, cry, want to dance, be uplifting.
The Star Scoop:
What do you want to say to all your fans?
Carmen Reece:
That I really, really appreciate their support so far, and I'm looking forward to sharing my music with them, and growing with them. I'm all fired up. I'm looking forward to releasing the next single, getting the album out so people can hear what I'm about. I'm really looking forward to the next step. I'm opening for Pitbull on October 17th, in New Jersey. That's the next stop and there will be many more. I'm grateful for everything that's happening at the moment.
