The Star Scoop:

For those unfamiliar and have not heard of it yet, can you tell us about Miss March?

Alexis Raben:

Miss March is a new comedy from Fox Searchlight, co-written, co- directed and co-starring two members of the comedy sketch group, Whitest Kids You Know. It tells the story of two friends making their way across the country to recapture a lost love, who has become a Playboy centerfold.

The Star Scoop:

You play Katja. What is she like?

Alexis Raben:

Katja is one of the mad characters the two protagonists meet on their journey. She is probably best described as a nymphomaniacal lesbian traveler in love. Part of what makes Katja so funny is her single minded unwavering focus on her lover to the exclusion of pretty much everything and everyone else.

The Star Scoop:

How did you come to be involved in this movie and with this role?

Alexis Raben:

It was a pretty straightforward audition process. I had done a lot of comedy on stage but in film I'd mostly played serious characters. So it was a bit of a surprise to be called in for this role. But I found that I had an immediate instinctual understanding of what would make Katja funny, and I knew I was right when I saw the casting director laughing.

The Star Scoop:

Who will this movie appeal to and why?

Alexis Raben:

I think Miss March will appeal to fans of broad unapologetic and even raunchy comedy. I can see comparisons to American Pie... I also expect its audience will be on the younger side.

The Star Scoop:

We heard Hugh Hefner makes an appearance. Is it true?

Alexis Raben:

Indeed he does. Originally he was played by Robert Wagner, who I heard did a wonderful job in the role, but then Hugh stepped forward. And after all, who can be the best Hugh Hefner but the man himself?

The Star Scoop:

Why should our readers see this movie?

Alexis Raben:

Our world gets all too serious and often hard to handle. A little silliness and laughter can go a long way in keeping us sane and happy. And silliness and laughter is what Miss March delivers in spades.

The Star Scoop:

What other projects do you have coming up? Where can fans see you next?

Alexis Raben:

None of my upcoming things are fully settled yet, which unfortunately means that I'm not at liberty to talk about them at this time. Sorry.

The Star Scoop:

To your fans who are reading this, what would you like to say?

Alexis Raben:

Thank you for reading this interview and following my work. Please keep watching.
