Peyton List

Peyton List

Peyton List is adorable and sweet, and she's showing up on the big screen, and the small screen. Viewers will see her as a young Katherine Heigl in 27 Dresses and she plays Frances O'Connor's daughter on ABC's Cashmere Mafia, which will air Wednesdays at 10pm EST.

The Star Scoop:

Tell us about the 27 Dresses Premiere!

Peyton List:

It was really exciting to go meet Katherine [Heigl] and everybody at the after party. This was the first premiere I've been to that I was in the movie. I loved it because I was so excited to go and meet everybody and see the movie.

The Star Scoop:

What are you most excited about for people to see in the film?

List:

Probably real excited to see everybody just, you know, like hysterical. It's so hilarious. Just seeing Katherine Heigl; it's really funny.

The Star Scoop:

Tell us about the character you play in 27 Dresses

List:

I play Katherine Heigl younger, because she's been a bridesmaid 27 times. So I open the film with her being the first time she's been a bridesmaid.

The Star Scoop:

Did you feel any pressure to have this opening role?

List:

No, actually, I was pretty excited to see myself first [laughs].

The Star Scoop:

You have a show coming out, too, Cashmere Mafia.

List:

It's about four business women, and it's all their lives together, and what they do together, based on their lives together. I'm really excited because it really turned out great. I play Sasha Burden, Frances O'Connor's daughter. She's pretty bossy, I think, and she always tries to get what she wants, and if she doesn't get it, she's very angry [laughs].

The Star Scoop:

She sounds nothing like you! How would you describe your "real-life" self?

List:

I'd probably say something like, outgoing, happy. Outgoing and happy. I like to sing, and dance, and I take tap and jazz and take musical theater. I'm really interested in doing acting, but I would like to do a play, also.

The Star Scoop:

So, recently you've done both TV and movie roles.

List:

When we go everyday to set, on Cashmere Mafia, you can just see everybody again and again, and when you do movies, you have to leave and everything ends, the shooting. Then, you get really sad because you're so attached to everybody.

The Star Scoop:

You're also working on some other projects.

List:

I just finished a movie called Malevolence. It's a thriller, and I play Wendy. She's a brat [laughs].

The Star Scoop:

Since you have a show and a movie out, you probably get recognized more!

List:

Last night I got recognized [laughs]. I love [meeting fans] it's really exciting.

The Star Scoop:

As a young actress, who is your role model?

List:

Probably Hilary Duff. I really like her acting, what movies she has been in and everything. I would probably want to work with Katherine Heigl again because she was so much fun when I got to meet her. She was so sweet.

The Star Scoop:

What has helped you be successful so far?

List:

When you're thinking about the feeling that you're taking out for your character, to think about something happy if you character is happy, and then say your lines. Because when you're thinking something, and you're saying something, it makes you sound like what you're thinking.

The Star Scoop:

Any final words for us?

List:

That's pretty much it. Watch Cashmere Mafia! [laughs]
