Annemarie Pazmino will play Rachel on the groundbreaking web series, Sorority Forever. Go inside sorority life like you never have before with less-than-three-minute webisodes. This mystery/drama will grip you from the start - something is not quite right at the sorority Phi Chi Kappa. We talked with Annemarie about herself, and her role in this intriguing new series.

The Star Scoop:

Give us an introduction to who you are.

Annemarie Pazmino:

I am a native to Los Angeles, surprisingly enough. My mom is from Santiago, Chile, and my dad is a true definition of Caucasian - German, English, Irish, and Dutch. I'm a bit of a mutt, in regards to ethnicity [laughs]. I was always involved in theater. I started it when I was really, really young, and was always in drama throughout high school and involved in community theater, and took outside courses. I studied with coaches. Then I went to college. I decided that I wanted to be a vet and I got my Bachelor's. Right toward the end of me finishing, I just started missing acting so, so much. I decided, I'm just gonna go for it. I'm in a position where, if I fall flat on my face, it's not gonna hurt anybody, and I have something to fall back on. As soon as I graduated [college], I went right into acting full time. It's what I wake up wanting to do. It's what makes me happy.

The Star Scoop:

Was going to college the right decision for you?

Pazmino:

Absolutely. If I had to do it over again, I would do the same thing. Having that to fall back on - it almost fuels you more, because you don't have a fear of failure. I know that if it doesn't work, that there will be something there. I have a net to catch me.

The Star Scoop:

Tell us about Sorority Forever.

Pazmino:

Sorority Forever - I'm super excited about it. It comes out on September 8th, and it's going to be on TheWB.com. It's a web series that can be seen every single day. The episodes are just over two minutes long. They kept them really short. If people want to watch them at work, they can do that. Or, for people that like to surf the net and they want to watch something really fast that's super entertaining.

The Star Scoop:

What is it like to be part of such a ground breaking show - a web series?

Pazmino:

It's super, super exhilarating. When I auditioned for this project, I had no idea. These four directors and writers - Doug Cheney, Ryan Wise, Chris Hampel, and Chris McCaleb - the guys put this project together. I auditioned for almost every role there was. It was a little scary. They really put me on the spot. Websidoes are much more readily accessible to people. Everybody practically has a computer now. Even people that still have dial up, it's not going to take that long to download a 2, 2 and a half minute show. It can be reached overseas. We're no longer restricted to just the airwaves. It's going to be everywhere. The fact that that many people can then take part in it; I think that's huge.

The Star Scoop:

Tell us about the character you ended up playing, Rachel.

Pazmino:

I ended up actually getting my favorite character. Her name is Rachel, and she is the vice president of the sorority. To me, she's the most interesting character because she's caught in between these two worlds. She really, really wants to succeed within the sorority, but there are certain things that the sorority requires her to do that make her feel unethical and make her uneasy as a person. Sorority Forever is a thriller, it's a suspense. It's dramatic, so there's a lot of mystery. Rachel has to play that role. There's a huge part of her where she's a really, really good person. She wants everyone to feel comfortable. She wants everyone to be happy. In order to succeed, she can't be the nice guy all the time. That really eats her up, and she really begins to question her dedication and how much she can take.

The Star Scoop:

Were you ever involved in sorority life in college?

Pazmino:

I went to a commuter school. There were sororities, but not to the definition of how we know it. They weren't a major thing at my campus. I didn't get to get involved in it. That was what was so fun about getting assigned to this project. I got to do the research. I got to explore a world that I had no idea about. That's one part of what's so much fun about being an actor. You get to learn about people you would otherwise never know about. The guys did so much research to keep the story true. While it's dramatized, it is all based on fact.

The Star Scoop:

What can you say to people who will say, But this show is so short!

Pazmino:

You're totally right, and I had the same feeling. When I saw the script after I booked the project, I was like, Oh my gosh. Where's the rest of it? It's all about the writing and the guys are fantastic story tellers. They are able to get a lot in. It is for a quick mind. You do need to pay attention. It's not something that you can put off and be doing something else. It's so fast. If you're not watching it, you're going to blink, and you're going to miss something. It's great - it has all of those slight things that will keep you attentive to it. You'll be really engrossed in it. It's all about the subtleties, because it is so fast.

The Star Scoop:

What else should people know about Sorority Forever?

Pazmino:

TheWB.com is something that is really innovative for The WB. I really think that Webisodes are going to be the new wave of the future. With the industry being in the state that it is, there's a sort of freedom for these webisodes. Yet, the studios and the company get involved in these projects, and they don't hold back. Because Webisodes are still sort of new, and there's so many out there, it's easy to presume that they're not as high quality, and they're not going to be as interesting, and the writing isn't going to be as good; sets aren't going to be as cool. It's the other side of it. They didn't hold back. They went all the way and they made sure that it was going to look awesome, and that the writing is good. It's interesting, and people are really going to enjoy themselves.
